Amber — Studio Owner & Instructor

▸ Certified Pilates Instructor (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chair)

I completed my comprehensive pilates training through Core Community’s 500+ hour pilates certification program in Vancouver and pursued continued education with Balanced Body® programming in California through Bodyline Beverly Hills. All of my classes at the studio are thoughtfully curated with the pilates principles and movement mechanics at the core. I design dynamic apparatus-based sessions to ensure you’re moving safely and effectively in your workout, from beginner to advanced, to experience the real benefits of pilates.

Creating Pilates People Studio in Yaletown

The concept for the studio came about through my own practice and desire to create a third space in the city dedicated pilates. I was searching for a studio that specialized in semi-private classes and delivered a consistent, personalized experience. Being in an intimate setting helps tremendously with how quickly you are able to advance—from increased flexibility to overall posture, mobility and core strength. Trios are the perfect balance, especially when it comes to the social aspect. It’s not just about the exercises, but also about how the environment and instructor make you feel. My hope is that the studio can be a calm and cozy enclave for you.

Specializing in 3:1 Semi-Private Sessions

The student to instructor ratio allows for extra attention to detail to fine tune your practice. Unlike the larger fitness studios, our format allows you to experience sustainable progress, stay accountable, and truly get more out each session. The benefits of pilates are experienced with consistent practice. You’ll feel a difference right away, and soon enough, you’ll see it too.

👋🏻 I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, but have called Vancouver home for the past six years. Originally I moved up north to complete a graduate degree in business at UBC, which led to falling in love with life in the Pacific Northwest. After a number of years in the corporate world, I made the leap from the tech industry (e-commerce), to teach pilates full-time and open my own business. I have a rescue pup (pom-jindo), who I’m with when I’m not at the studio!
